I just spent a few minutes on a tram near a “father”, stubby in hand, murmuring obscenities and threats at his poor, distressed little boy. I tried to watch for any physical mistreatment as an excuse to intervene, but never quite caught any. Do you intervene anyway? Or is it worse for the poor little kid once you’ve left the scene?
